Marantz has two new amps coming out, a 7x150 watts and can be bridged for more power into less channels if desired. The second amp is a four channel amp rated at a whopping 275 watts. Widescreen review has more information about these products on their subscriber site.

MM9360 and MM9340 Multichannel Power Amplifiers

At CES 2003, Marantz will expand its power amplifier lineup with two new high-end, high-power multichannel amplifiers: the six-channel MM9360 and four-channel MM9340. The MM9360 delivers 150 watts into each of its six channels (into 8 ohms, 500 watts x 3 in bridged mode), while the MM9340 provides 275 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Both amplifiers are built to the most rugged professional standards for unsurpassed reliability and sound quality in whole-house custom installations and commercial applications, and include features such as RCA and XLR inputs, 70-volt distributed audio system capability, an internal cooling design that allows the amplifiers to be rack mounted with no clearance above and below them to save space, and many additional versatile features.

The Marantz MM9360 and MM9340 multichannel power amplifiers will be available in the first quarter of 2003 at suggested retail prices of $2,799 and $2,299, respectively.
