New Mains or New Center (1 Viewer)

Right now my ht is not the best. I have a Denon 2802 which i just got, and the rest of the speakers are yamaha. Except for the subwoofer. My question is should i replace the yamaha center channel first or the yamaha 8inch fronts. Which would probably make the biggest difference. Most likely the new mains because i listen to music a lot.

If music is most important, then yeah, replace those first.

I just know that I obsessed about my center for 6 months, going through 4 configurations before I was happy and actually watched a movie without thinking about speakers.

ditto what colin said. if music is your first priority, replacing the mains is a must. if ht is a priority, it's an either or situation but i'd personally upgrade the center. of course, upgrading your mains...you'll reap double benefits for music and ht whereas upgrading your center will only net you benefits with ht.
