Well for my wedding gift my father surprised me and got me a PowerMac G4 DP 867(don't worry my mom bought her a strand of white pearls.)

So far I'm really impressed with the performance of the machine, although I do wish it did have Radeon 9000 Pro instead of the GeForce4 MX in it. And I do need to add some more RAM to it, which I plan to do today. OS X has come a long way since I last used it, which was OS X Public Beta at my old job. Everything is so much smoother and snappier. I'm really happy with it and thats the most important thing.

OS X Public Beta? My God, it's a wonder you ever stayed with a Mac if you only used that archaic version. The updates since then have increased its appeal exponentially.

Me too!!! My new wife and I went and bought ourselves a new Mac the other day as our wedding present to each other.

We got the EMac with the 800mHz G4 and the Superdrive. I plan to upgrade to a gig of ram though. It is very nice and came loaded with Jaguar.

I can't wait to get a chance to load Final Pro and start editing the wedding video.

So you can't get Mac drivers for the card (like there's a Mac version of the R8500) ? That would suck. See if anyone has written drivers for it, because IIRC AGP stuff works in Powermacs as it does it PCs.
