Jane's Addiction's new album Hypersonic is set to be released in July to coincide with Lollapalooza. Can't wait to finally hear some new stuff from them.

From what I have heard, the only original members are Perry and Stephen Perkins. No Dave Navarro or his heroin guitar. This is not Jane's Addiction or Porno for Pyros. Personally instead of these constant Reunion tours, I wish Perry, Perkins, and the guitar player from Pyros would put out a new Porno for Pyros album.

Nope, Navarro is back:

Jane's Addiction will be out in support of Hypersonic, the band's first release since 1990's Ritual de lo Habitual, and the first with a reconfigured line-up that features Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and newcomer bassist Chris Chaney.

Camp,

Thanks for the info. That is good news indeed. Janes Addiction is nothing without Navarro's heroin guitar. ;)

Actually I loved Eric A's bass as well. I hope the new guy is up to snuff...

I have the whole album, and it in incredible. I love every song. Janes Addiction is back. I've listened to it about 10 times so far and I have a grin from ear to ear every single time I hear it. It has that classic Janes sound but it also sounds a bit different as well.

When I was in the Cartoon Convent(art school) in 89-90, a friend gave me their first 2 albums,it was all I listened to for a year.

They guys in this band are so talented.

They were a great band and hopefully the new album will be good.

A bunch of good songs on this one, but it doen't have that certain magic that their last two did. Maybe it's the times- Janes was quite unique at the time. I think the songs are also more simple and direct. Soem of the pretentiousness is gone, but that was one of their endearing qualities as well.

Sonically, the CD is compressed pretty bad.

Not again . What is up with this with newer releases.

I picked this up last night but haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet.

My favorite on the album is True Nature, a great rock song. Great hard-driving guitar riff by Dave Navarro. Very good album all around. Can't wait to see them at Lollapalooza in Atlanta.
