I need some advice from all of you experts out there. I am building a dedicated home theater setup with room-in-room construction, insulation, and all the other amenities I can afford.
I am however at a loss for a projector. I have a budget of about $2k for one. Some needs are:
-Must be native 16:9 (I will be using it primarily for widescreen DVD watching and prefer that screen ratio.)
-Will watch some TV but we are not setup for HD yet.
-I'm a real stickler for a clear, crisp picture.
-I plan on a screen about 6' wide.
Some people are telling me I don't need a real high res projector if all I am watching is DVD's. Is this true?
What's the best projector out there to fit my needs for under $2k?
I went throught this horror of making a decision a few years back when I bought a 36" tv. The projector choice is far worse. Please help.....
