I am buying a new house and going to reserve a room in the basement for my "real home theater".
Because I am going to start from a scratch in terms of my ht I am wondering what kind of floor covering may be best .... carpet, tile or anything else.
I presume many here have already built ht's to their imagination. Please share your thoughts when it comes to floor covering.
    thank you
    Ralph

I used thick carpet in my HT, it looks good and it´s sound absorbing aswell.

    Carpet, man..
It's alot better accousticly and reduces echos..
Just don't get anything bright red or pink [IMG] It will distract you..
I'd get something like dark green or gray..
