Hi guys!

I am looking for a basic home theater setup that is mainly use for gaming, around $800 max.

I have:
1) 45' LG LCD HDTV (2 HDMI inputs, 2 component inputs, 2 AV inputs)
2) PS3 (using HDMI)
3) Xbox 360 (using component)
4) Wii (using AV)

Note, this is my first theater system ever, so I know NOTHING about them. I am going to most likely just follow straight off the manual when trying to plug everything.

I was leaning towards the Onkyo HT-S5100. But I got a question, does it have component INPUT/OUTPUT necessary for my 360?

Suggestions for other systems are appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

If you want to connect your 360 to the AVR, it needs at least a digital optical input. You will also need the HD pack for Xbox. If you dont already have the component cables for the X, you can also get the HDMI cable, and do a simple 1 cable hook up.

As for brand, most people on this board have different opinions on what brands to get. It appears that the low-priced feature to value models are from Onyko. Although, I prefer Harmon Kardon and Yamaha.

You might be able to swipe a "last years" model from your selected manufacturer that does not decode the new Blu-Ray audio formats at a steal price. If the only thing you are going to use it for is your 360, you are limited to Dolby Digital and 5.1 channels anyway.
