As a Halloween fan who was infuriated by Di$ney's lackluster(to say the least) initial DVD, I hope this is true, though honestly this is news to me. We can only hope.

I heard nothing official, but over at www.fridaythe13thfilms.com there was a thread posted about this. But again, it was just someone talking about it. So far I don't know anything else. I hope it is true, as the original DVD is pretty shitty, and just dropped in retail price...

And to think...I picked up the original disc when the price dropped.

Figures...would be one I'd replace though.

Disney should have a trade in discount after spending $25 on the dvd when it came out after advertized as Spec. Ed.[IMG]

I was hoping for better versions of Halloween II and Halloween IV. I didn't care for H2O. But here's hoping they give fans a better version.

    D'oh!
I've already bought this title 3 times!
R1 - ok but non-anamorphic (grr!) and missing advertised features![IMG]
R4 - Artifact filled anamorphic transfer (double grrr!)[IMG]
R2 - Exact same content as current R1 BUT very nice anamorphic transfer (hurrah - for now!)[IMG]
I hope there is some kind of 'ultimate' version in the works. I want a Steve Miner commentary - he's a very good suspense director and I love the ending of H20. I have a feeling "The Homecoming" is gonna make a nonsense of it though!

The current U.S. edition is pretty abysmal. I'm hoping this information turns out to be true because H20 really needs to be reissued in 16:9 enhanced wide sceen in the U.S..
