Despite what your TV Guides or Tivos say, tonights episode of Futurama is NOT a re-run. Be sure to tune in at 7:00PM.

Wow. I can't believe I actually just watched an episode of Futurama that was just mediocre.

I guess after this many years, it was bound to happen. [IMG]

Still the ending was good (closure, don't you know), and no true Futurama fan should miss it. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't brilliant.

BrianW, cannot disagree with you more. I absolutely loved tonight's episode. Definitely one of their better ones. Of course, there's been a New Futurama drought for so long, perhaps my perception of quality Groening stuff has been distorted. The best part had to be Fry's "coffee-time" effect.

It was a bit too political for my tastes... I knew what they were saying, but it was too over-the-top to be funny. I don't think I more than chuckled.

The politics made me go 'meh.' Hollywood in general is anti-Bush. So what? I get over it with a chuckle and move on. Its still funny. [IMG]

The coffee counter and the coffee bullettime effect was classic...seemed like a take off of the South Park episode where they counted how many times someone said "Shit."

    Good stuff!

Definitely a solid episode, though I sorta liked the two prior "new" ones (The Sting & The Farnsworth Parabox) a bit more.

Good gravy do I love this show. Fox still has five unaired episodes to go through.

    Season 2 DVD = Aug. 12th = Me = [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Something is really bothering me about this thread, so I'll just come out and say it:

Why wasn't it titled "Good news, everyone! (Futurama)"? Now we'll have to reserve that title for the next boxed set.

    For my fellow Futurama Freakz:

This info comes from the very reliable www.gotfuturama.com by way of the also reliable www.thefutoncritic.com

--I'm sad to see the show go, but it's quite simply too good for the Fox network. Bring on the remaining R1 sets already!

Oh yeah, here are the remaining episode's respective synopses:

S05E12: Bender Should Not Be Allowed On TV - Bender manages to get a role on the 30th century hit soap 'All My Circuits' featuring non-oscar winning superstar Calculon.

S05E13: Bend Her - Bender gets to know the advantages and disadvantages of being a fembot. As a fembot. The sex change allows him to take part in the robot Olympics.

S05E14: Obsoletely Fabulous - Bender is not quite so happy about his latest hardware update.

S05E15: Spanish Fry - Alien poachers are after Fry's horn.

S05E16: The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings - Fry cuts a deal with the devil which allows him to acquire the skills needed to show Leela that he loves her.
