They are nuking the 1705, 1905, and 2105, and I will work under the assumption that there are new models on the way.

    Any ideas?

I can assume they will not get HDMI, and not much will change, but don't know what they are missing other receivers have. Maybe XM like the 4806 is getting? Auto setup on the new ones (the $300 Pioneer has it, why not a $400 Denon?)

They have been doing that in different forms for a while. I got my 2105 with a free pair of Primus 150's ($180), several months ago. They are advertising the 2105 for $500 with no freebies now, but that is basically the same (my deal: $650 - $180 speaker pair = $470). Then they threw in a free $150 Denon DVD player for a bit. Each one is basically equivilent to the next. However, you may be right, and I can't wait to see what the new models hold...! [IMG]

It's standard among Japanese OEMs to do new-model lineups every year.

Except for Pioneer which seems to be on a two-year cycle.
