Jakub,

On another forum there has been discussion about the choice of the Burr-Brown PCM-1704 DAC.

It can synch up to 384K on input, the oversampling available is a function of the input Fs.

As such, it will accept 192K input, but limit oversampling to 4x instead of 8x.

Poorly spec'd on Burr-Browns website IMO. So your dissatisfaction is at best misguided about this issue.

John,

Thank you for this tip,

May be Denon use this trick of Burr-Brown PCM-1704 DAC.

Do you possible post link to other forum with PCM-1704 discusion?

And what do you mean about Denon DVD-2800 and Video DAC problem 12 x 11 bit?

Jakub,
Here's the link to the other post. In that post, I asked directly and was answered with detail from both Denon and an employee of one of Burr-Browns competitors.
Another forum's discussion including DAC inclusion on the Denon players
I offered no commentary on Video DACs, although I'm not terribly surprised that different DACs are used for interlaced output than progressive output. This would allow interlaced and progressive to run simultaneously if they chose to do so. Video DACs are not something I'm very up on, which is I why I didn't say anything about them.
Regards,
