Well, I've been happy with my new little 10" Axiom EP-175 sub with it's cool aluminum driver(www.axiomaudio.com) it's great for music....but today we went to costco and I see that they have a new version of the D-box sub there for $299 Canadian. www.d-box.com (david 302)
It has a 12" driver with a large amount of power (big heatsink fins on the back of the amp). Has anyone tried it yet? The former 301 model had a reputation of having very good sound for Home theatre but not handling music very well. It certainly looked cool...and is very heavy (55lbs).

I own the old D-Box David 300. I love it, but then again I'm not an HT expert by far. I do know that D-Box's speciality is subwoofers. I believe the 301 is 350W as opposed to the 300 which is 300W. The 302 features a new directional feature, but other than that it looks identical to the 301. I convinced my boss to get the 302, and he loves it [IMG]. BTW you can also order these subs directly from d-box. The prices are identical to Costco (except add about $40CAN S&H).
    Hope this helps.
