Is there any moment in this film that deserves a surround remix? I don't think so. Mono audio suits a period film just fine.

    Very nice!

    I'm surprised it's a 2-disc SE, though.

Thank you Damin. I'm so tired of people that want everything remixed and souped up. This is a dialogue driven film that is 20 years old and is set approximately 60 years ago.

That said, I can't wait to pick this up. I've held off every year on buying the existing disc.

FINALLY!! I am so there on 10/7. Let's just hope that WB has done this classic family film right and given us a spanking new transfer. Just think, no more heat shimmer! [IMG]

The poster art would have been cool, but in any event, I'm just thrilled it's coming - and as a 2-disc SE. Long overdue. Hopefully, it's a 2-disc set because there's lots of good supplemental material and not merely because there's a foolscreen transfer included. In other words, let's hope it's a real Special Edition, not like The Santa Clause.

I am really hoping for a Darren Mcgavin interview on this. I know he's up there in years, and sadly just lost his wife. Put I would love to see him involved, as well as the other cast members and director Bob Clark.

This is way too cool! I freakin love this movie.I saw a guy just the other day wearing a Ralphie shirt that said"You'll shoot your eye out" I didn't get a chance to ask the guy where he got it but I wanted it. Anyway, I can't beleive that I am getting blessed with new anamorphic versions of my 2 most favorite Christmas movies of all time. I love it! I watch both A Christmas Story and A Christmas Vacation multiple times every year. I can't wait. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
