New Budget Basement HT (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I have a friend who has been putting together a HT in his basement and it's nice watching football games on a 120" screen. He has a BenQ HT1085ST, which has a great picture. I looked on Amazon and they don't really sell them now. Are there any projectors with similar quality, but cheaper?

He got a STR-169120 Silver Ticket 120" Diagonal 16:9 4K Ultra HD Ready HDTV (6 Piece Fixed Frame) Projector Screen White Material from Amazon for $250.

There are cheaper options from $40 to $160, but do you know if the quality will be much worse?
