This has been driving me crazy all night.
I have a new samsung BD-P1500 connected to my old pioneer elite 35TX receiver via optical.
On blue ray and on DVD media, if I hit the audio button on the blueray player it displays DD5.1 or DTS5.1, however my receiver won't click out of pro logic. If I switch sources over to my DTV receiver it pops right into dolby, I thought I had a setting off on the DVD source so I swapped the optical cables, sure enough it clicks back into pro logic on the SAT source too.
Any ideas? I'm going crazy over here.
Tried multiple dics, both blueray and DVD, tried DD and DTS, same on all. I found it when I was trying to rebalance my setup with avia because it's mixing the FS and RS channels together.
The receiver is in analog/digital auto mode, and THX auto mode, if anyone cares.
