Regardless of the features, I'd get that puppy on asthetics alone. That is one sweet looking piece. You know, looking at the features and the MSR, which are both similar to the Cinepro piece featured on another thread, you would have to go with the Aragon based on looks, but we all know that sound is the most important feature, but still....wow.

I had no idea that Klipsch bought Aragon! Interesting.

I was just gonna post this stuff! I have been lusting and drooling over it for a couple of hours. I think that quite simply it is the most beautiful stuff out there! If only I could win the lottery and get that preamp. I think I might be able to get one of the 5 channel amps though!

Andrew- Klipsch bought Mondial Designs, who manufactures Aragon and Acurus. Although they now say they are going to put the "Acurus" name on the backburner for a while, and focus on Aragon.

Have you seen the black color.......... WOW

I think I like the black even better!!!!!!!!!!

Now if they perform as well as they look.

I owned the Soundstage for awhile........

Was not overly impressed with it however....

    Regards,

Here's to a company that puts some money into aesthetics and design. Wow, that is a hell of a good looking piece of equipment.

Geez, that processor/amp combo in the picture from Chuck is unbelievable...just gorgeous! And, they make it in black too? Anyone have a picture of this stuff in black? I'd be curious what that looks like.

In the final analysis, I really hope this stuff does perform as well as it looks. It'd be a shame to waste all that beauty on components that aren't up to snuff.

How about this super closeup, hi-res shot of the stage one

Based on Secret's review of the ol' 8008, and the overall popularity of Aragon in the past, I predict the new gear will be up to snuff. BTW, the new 8008 MKII is a prize-piece too.

Maybe it is just me but I would certainly hope that that little blue light there is dimmable. I think that in a totally dark room and if your components are not either to the side of you are behind you, it would be instant eye attraction. Your mileage may vary.

Geez, great picture though it took forever to load through my slow dialup connection!

I see from the picture that volume is adjustable in .5 Db increments...cool. Does anyone know if speaker calibration can also be done in .5 Db increments?

Looks like Klipsch is leaving my Aragon Soundstage pre-amp processor high and dry. [IMG] not that I was expecting anything else....but when I saw the other products, i was hoping......

You should check out the Klipsch BB. There is an Aragon section and I remember reading they have upgrades coming out for the soundstage, like HDTV component switching etc.
