new 60xbr800. at turn on, don't know how to "turn off" the auto programming
just got my 60xbr800 yesterday. every time i turn the tv on, it asks me to "auto program" the coax input. in my case, nothing is connected to the coax. all my sources are connected via either composite, S-video, or component.
but, still, everytime i turn the tv on, it says that the channel + button will start the auto programming, and the channel down button will exit that auto programming menu. however, even if i selected the channel down button every single time i turn on the tv, it still asks me to select or exit out of the auto programming mode. i don't want to see that each and every time i turn on the tv. the manual doesn't say how to switch it off.
    any assistance would be appreciated.

What happens if you hit the channel + button? Maybe the set will discover what you already know, that there's nothing there.

    Just a thought,

That's what I was going to suggest. Let it auto-program, even if there are no channels to program. At least it'll eliminate the annoying prompt, and you obviously aren't using the coax in anyway.
