I've never understood the overall strategy Netflix employs. Granted, I'm not all that business savvy but the content costs seem astronomical compared to the subscriber base vs rates. Netflix also seems to pay ridiculous prices for it's "original" content, much of which comes from performers far past their primes such as Jerry Seinfeld and Dave Chappelle. Nothing against either of these icons, just saying, their best work is behind them and , ironically, not even available on Netflix.
