Just gotten hold of Neil Young's latest.
Really nice sounding, almost mellow, album, only had one listen, so I need more time to soak up the lyrics and sounds, but even on a first listen, I think this might just be one of Neil's best.
The extra DVD that came with the CD is called "Live At Vicar St." This seems to be a FULL concert. It's basically the whole of the new album with Neil in solo acoustic mood - the dvd goes on for over 90 minutes! Lots (and lots) of Neil chatting between songs, laying out the story that links the songs together. The arrangements are quite different to the main CD. Also - although the picture is a bit soft, it is 16x9 and enhanced for widescreen. Also a DTS option is included and sounds rather nice......
All in all, a great buy. I would recommend paying the extra cash to get the extra DVD edition.
Bring on the DVD-A - I hope it comes with the concert footage on a DVD-V side.....
