Someone mentioned that if you had done an ISF calibration with a regular DVD player and bought a prog.scan unit that you would need to recalibrate the RPTV. Mine is a Tosh 56x81.

Any truth to this? The wife will be a hard sell on another ISF calibration..

    Greetings

Answer is yes. But!!!! This is just a minor tune up and if the ISF guy is local ... should be able to do it for a substantial discount. I know I offer my clients that locally. (Something more than beer money.)

The touch up takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

However ... what we are talking about is a slight shift in your grayscale and some other user settings. If the colour temp was 6500K before ... maybe the new player looks like 6800K to 7000K ... not that big a deal.

It's the nature of the beast ... everything affects everything when it comes to grayscale.

    Regards
