I have a 18x24 addition, Knotty pine walls and vaulted ceiling, 5x12 pitch, and carpet floor. I'm going to use this room for mostly movies but I will use it for music too. Need some suggestions for speakers. Thanks

Then ask for that sort of information here in the Speakers/Subs section. The Basics area is not for asking which models to buy, but for seeking general, beginner-level information. In fact, we make that point at the top of the section's thread-listing page.

And always start with your budget for what you want suggestions for.

Speakers as you probably know.. Go for $100 for a mostly garbage full surround package to $16,000 each.

Wow, now that's a wide-open question. Ummmm.... let's see.... B&W Nautilus 802D. Don't cheap out on us now.

Don't like those? Thiel 7.2's are nice too.

klipsch. Lots of stuff in different price ranges. [IMG] [IMG] plus they are great sounding, and very effiecent. you do not need a hugh amp to play them at loud volumes.
