Figure out what 16 ounces of the stuff is, and stuff it into the box.

I used just one layer of the 1/2" sheet around each wall on my SA-WM40. The sheet I used (from partsexpress.com) had an egg-crate type lok to it. Some people advise using the polyfill stuffing (like from a pillow or purchased in a bag) instead of the sheets. I'm not sure if that would make a difference or not. My sub definitely sounds better now, so unless someone tells me otherwise I'll probably just stick with what I've got.

Egg crate just absorbs midrange sounds mainly, it also helps to dampen any standing waves a bit.

Acousta-stuff and the like actually make a noticeable difference in box Qtc or tuning...that's what'll make the bass really sound different.
