O.K. I have been addicted to this site for about 2 months now. I live in a condo right now and I have the Kenwood HTB set up. I am building a house real soon and when I do I want to upgrade my HT. I REALLY need some advice on recievers. Here is what I am definitly going to get:
    1. Speakers- Paradigm Studio Series w/ SVS 25-31pci
    2. T.V.- 50-65 inch Widescreen
    3. DVD- Panny rp56
Now I need some advice on recievers. I want to spend around 600 bucks. I have been looking at the outlaw 1050, some denons and some HK's. What are the disadvantages and advantages of each and are their any others I should look at?
    Thanks [IMG]

    BTW,

I don't really listen to music so it is going to be for Cable/Sat. or Movies.

I have been looking at the same receivers.

I eliminated the Outlaw because I want Pro-Logic II.

I have been debating between the HK520 and Denon 2802 or 3802. Both sound nice, but take a listen and see which you like better.

A lot of people here have reccomended Yamaha, so I am going to listen to those also.

    Good Luck,

    Mark

Is Pro-Logic II that good? What is the difference between one and two?

Marantz SR6200. At about $550, one of the better buys out there, and great stereo sound. Bugs have been worked out by now.

DENON has SHARC 32 bit DSP processor which is a
    big advantage over the others.
HK looks funny, more like a getto-blaster than a
    receiver.
    Marants is very musical.

I don't think the SHARC is an advantage at all. The h/k DSPs get the job done just fine and add Logic 7 to boot...along with amplification that Denon can't match (at that price point).

    Looks are pretty subjective

Marantz has a "z" in it.
