need some help with LspCAD (1 Viewer)

Ok .. i'm trying to figure out an enclosure for a single tempest setup. First off, what's a Q value for the enclosure.. there are so many Qxx type values and i have no idea what that means.

Also, when I optimize for a single tempest setup, it comes up with something like 462 liters.. isnt this a bit much?

(by my calculations, i'd need a cylinder 24" diameter x 5' height or so .. this is a bit rediculous.. any suggestions?

(oh .. i'm optimizing for 18 hz) and this is a ported box.

Hi Mike,

I'm assuming you mean the LspCAD demo fom Adire. I don't use the optimize function. I would start out with all those .box files for Tempest (did you see those on the site?), and try to change what you want from there. There's also a huge .pdf help file that comes with the demo that explains pretty much everything.

The ported alignment I like for Tempest is 10 ft^3 or so tuned to 18Hz.
