Hi,

I'm brand new to the whole HT thing. I just purchased a Denon 2310CI for really cheap. It's is sitting in its box since i don't have any speakers. The room were the TV is is about 20x20 (including the kitchen). I have a budget of about $1200-1500 got get fronts, center and a sub.

the sub, so far i'm really interested by the Hsu VTF-3.

the fronts, i was looking at used Paradigm studios 60s, 80s, and 100s

or even the Hsu bookshelves.

what you guys think? any advice?

Paradigm speakers are pretty nice. They are very popular. HSU also makes a very nice subwoofer. I'm sure their speakers are nice too. I'm more familiar with SVS subs and speakers. HSU and SVS are the two top subwoofer makers. You can't go wrong with either one. Any of the speakers mentioned will serve you well too. See SVS gear here: www.svsound.com/products-sys-sbs_black.cfm
Good luck with whichever you choose.
