sup everyone,

I'm a new user here and I need some help. My parents just built a brand new house with pre-installed wiring for home theatre. Of course they got pre-built cabinets as well. Unfortunately the depth of the cabinets is only 9" because the builders are idiots. Anyway I was hoping someone out there may have a solution for me for AV Reciever. I cannot find anything that will fit that depth unless I use something for a car which I assume is not a good idea.

Does anyone out there know of anything I can do?

Lemme know.

Thanks,

Sam

I think you are stuck with a Home Theater in a Box. Some of these can be quite small. I can't recall ever seeing a receiver that's only 9" deep (front to back)... they are almost always 12"+.

Even HTIB's will have a receiver that's deeper than 9". A lot of DVD players, BD players, STB's, UPS's, etc. will also be deeper than 9".

I think they need to have the builder come back in to avoid many future problems, because even if you find equipment to fit, you're going to need room for the connections and most of them will need some breathing room, so really you'll need stuff that's only 5" - 6" deep.
