Hi, I am new to this and have no idea of what to get. I have a zenith HD 56" and Panasonic progressive scan DVD player. Now I need receiver and speakers for both music and dvd. I would like to stick to under 2000 if possible.
My family room is approx 22 X 15.
    Thanks alot!

If you are looking for bookshelf speakers then checkout the Energy Encores here. Checkout the Denon 3802 for $699 and some 12 gauge speaker wire and you're set.[IMG]

    Here are a few recommendations:
    Receiver:
    Denon 3802
    HK 520
    Nad 751
Outlaw 1050 (only if you dont have power-hungry speakers)

    Mains:
Klipsch RF5 (if you like your speakers bright)
    Polk LSI9
    Norh 6.9
    Paradigm Studio 40
    B&W 603
    Monitor Audio silver

    REars:
    Norh 4.0
    Polk LSI7
    Klipsch RF3
    Paradigm Mini Monitors
    B&W 601

    Center:
    Norh 4.0 Shielded
    POlk CS400
    Dlipsch RC3
    B&W LCR600

    Sub
    Adire Rava
    SVS pc25-31
    HSu vtf2

As for speakers, if you like building, you can get twice as much price/performace if you buy DIY kits, like the ones from gr-reasearch, ellis audio, madisound, etc.
