I will be moving the exsisting Yamaha D-700 DVD player to the bedroom next month. In its place I want to match a nice, affordable progressive scan DVD player to mate with a Sony 10HT projector that is producing a 16:9 ratio image at 159". I have read good things on the Panasonic RP82. This will be generally used for DVD viewing in a dedicated HT..so I am looking for best picture detail. Affordable to me would be at under $300...since I tend to upgrade frequently.

Do you already have the 159" setup done? This is very larger and more than I would recommend for any of the lower and mid priced front projectors that I have seen.

I believe the Panasonic RP82 does not suffer from the chroma bug and it is reasonably priced so this would be a good candidate for a good progressive DVD player.

The RP-82 is a great player. I also nominate the Denon DVD-1600 as well.
