Need Prog DVD reco (1 Viewer)

Ello peeps. I have a Toshiba 65H80 TV adn am considering getting a new progressive DVD player. I really have no need for DVD Audio anytime soon so can anyone suggest a player? I do a question though. Does my TV lock into Full mode? And why do i need to know this?

Your Toshiba does not lock into full mode, so you can use just about any 480P player, and handle letterbox and 4:3 sources via the controls on the TV set. You might want to consider the Panasonic RP91 however, since its scaling of letterbox material looks better than letting the set do it.
