I am trying to get some music speakers and I only have about $300.00. I need bookshelves and so far I'm at Bose Series IV 301's brand new for $240.00 at my local Circuit City. I don't really want to buy used but I'm not totally closed to the idea. Please help me before I buy what everybody here seems to say not to buy.[IMG]

    Mike,
There's a reason why everyone is telling you to not buy the Bose. There are much better speakers to be had for your $240!!
But, Circuit City has a good return policy, so why not get them as well as these:

Try them out in your home, and then send one pair back. I guarantee you'll be sending the Bose packing.
BTW, not sure what's up w/ the subject, but here's Paradigm's web site:

You might want to check out the Axiom M3ti's on Axiom's wesite. I have the M3ti's and they rock. They are slighty better than the Paradigm Mini monitors which are around the same price. They are great speakers, and you can return them if you don't like them, so you have nothing to lose.
