One of our DirectTV receivers died, and I am considering the Hughes E86 HD-DirectTV receivers (We have a Hitachi 36UDX10s HDTV ready set). First, anyone have any experience with this. Second, the wife is balking at the $500. Does anyone have any idea if the price will drop soon?

    Thanks a bunch

    Daniel,

Thanks for the info. Where have you seen it for that price. I am an existing customer, and only need the receiver.

    Thanks in advance.

    Daniel,

Thanks. I figured something like that. All the great prices seem to come from there.

    George,
I have own my 86 for 1.5 years now. It works get both for OTA and Directv. It does run hot so keep it in the open. I paid top price because I was one of the first to buy it. [IMG]
