Sound Advice does repairs on LD's still (I think). So long as the parts aren't too pricey, they do it at a fixed cost of $150.
I had my 704 done there and they did a fabulous job. They ship it down to a central repair area in Miami and there's a guy down there (or used to be) that specialized in LD players.

Well as much as I like and Use Sound Advice I have generally found that repair work is their weakest link. I have had many things in their shop over the years now and have never come away from there happy with their service.
I have heard that there is a guy in Clearwater area that does this kind o stuff and is very good at it and cheap as well I just do not know the name of his shop. I was hoping that some other member might just know it.
Doug S how bout you? Since you do live in Clearwater.
