i recently have bought a docking station for my Microsoft Zune Mp3 player. I want to run the MP3 through my receiver and televisionso I can get sound from my speakers. The dock station comes with a red, white, yellow cable....the zune has a video feathure so you can pull up the music on your TV and see the album art etc.....

Currently I have the Zune running through the TV. I have the red, white and yellow cable plugged to Video slot 3 on the back of my TV. However I can't seem to figure out how to get the music to play throug my speakers.

I am somewhat technically challenged. On the back of my receiver i have options for VCR out, DVD out etc.

Should I run the Zune red white and yellow cable into my receiver? or leave it in the TV? if i run it into the receiver what slot do i plug it into? Hope this isn't to confusing. any advice would help.

Again i currently have it working but there is no sound throught the receiver. The only sound i get is from the Televison speakers. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks

it's not really a zune issue.....it's simply knowing where to plug in the aux cables into my receiver. it's the same thing if you had a dvd player and wanted the sound to run thru your receiver. i just need sound through my speaker system and receiver.

Understood, but there are many people on that site who have done the same thing. They should be able to help.

For sound, just run the red and white cable from the docking station into any open unused analog (left and right) input on the rec'r except phono (if you even have one). The rest are the same and it is just a matter of labeling so you know which input to engage when you play the Zune.
