I have my computer set up so that I can export video (either my desktop or a specific video) onto a videotape through my VCR. The problem is, the video is black and white and I can't get in color. The only export slot I have is an s-video port, which has an s-to-composite adapter that came with the computer.

    Any suggestions?

The S-Video connection carries the black-and-white (luma) and color (chroma) info separately. Seems like the color is not getting through. First check that the port is working correctly, by using a S-Video cable with something that takes S-Video, a TV or S-VHS VCR. If that works, then your converter is bad. If it doesn't work, then your port might be bad (try another cable to be sure).
