Hi everybody,
I am in the process of finishing my basement and I am having a problem with the placement of my rear speakers.
Look at the picture attached. The main problem has to with the rear center speakers. My room is about 14 ft. wide and 27 ft long. Do you think one rear center speaker will be fine or two will be needed. If I use two they will not equal distace from the front, does that matter? You will see in the picture that one of the rear center speaker will be farther back from the other one.
Need help...

Jeff, you should be able to go into your receiver/pre-pro's setup and set the distance from each speaker to the sweet spot. This should work pretty good. I would suggest trying to move your side surrounds close to the couch, is this possible?

Jeff,

I would move the surrounds forward about 4-5 feet, so they are more directly to the side of the couch. Then I would put one back surround on the front of the closet, and the other back surround where it is. Your processor/receiver can adjust the delay to compensate for the unequal distance.
