Need help with Panasonic HDTV (1 Viewer)

Hi, I have the Panasonic PT-51HX41 HDTV...Im trying to get the thing into 16x9 mode for dvd's but it isnt highlighted on the menu and I cant change it.
Does anyone know how to change it? I have a Sony SVP-S530D dvd player hooked up to component 1, and yes I set the 16:9 mode on the dvd player
Any help would really be appreciated...thanks

Well I take it you are referring to the DVP-S530D. As for the change to 16x9, can't you do it using the TV ASPECT button on the remote, this should cycle you through 4:3, ZOOM, FULL and JUSTIFY modes?
