    Well, i just got my first DVD-A / SACD player and now need some people's opinions on some must-have DVD-A and SACD titles (I like all genres of music).

    Also, any links to some info sites such as release databases and good sites to but from for both formats would be cool!!!

    Bring it on...

    PS. I got The Doors' LA Woman as my first DVD-A disc...sounds pretty cool.

    For DVD-audio, I would suggest Natalie Merchant's Tigerlily (simply a wonderfully recorded album) and the brand spankin' new REM Automatic For The People.

    I also purchased the Doors LA Woman and it sounds pretty good. I would highly recommend Yes-Fragile if you like their music.

    Derek, I agree that you should check the thread that Scott mentioned. In addition to the titles I listed there, here are some of my favorite SACD, both musically and sonically:

    * Any Miles Davis
    * The Dave Brubeck Quartet Time Out
    * Rolling Stones Flowers, Let It Bleed, Metamorphosis, and Beggars Banquet (the only ones I have besides Hot Rocks 1964-1971
    * Rebecca Pidgeon The Raven
    * Creedence Clearwater Revival Willy and the Poorboys (the only CCR SACD I have so far)
    * Charles Mingus Mingus Ah Um
    * The Isley Brothers 3 + 3
    * The O'Jays Ship Ahoy
    * Weather Report Heavy Weather
    * Joe Satriani Engines of Creation
    * Spyro Gyra In Modern Times
    * Herbie Hancock Head Hunters
    * Carole King Tapestry

    Here are some of my favorite DVD-Audio discs, both musically and sonically:

    * Eagles Hotel California
    * Steely Dan Two Against Nature
    * Fleetwood Mac Rumours
    * Metallica Metallica
    * Queen A Night at the Opera
    * The Doors L.A. Woman

    I enjoyed your list of your favorite discs. I clicked on your link to visit your home theater website. I didn't enjoy all the "extra" advertisement webpages that opened several new explorer windows everytime I clicked on one of your links. I had to close down about 10 new windows to get out of there. What's up with that? I get enough spam and pop up windows all day.

    I just listened to the Elvis hits on DVD-A and I'm still smiling from the 5.1 mix. This sounds very good.
