Hi all, novice here and need some advice on a multi-room speaker system that was pre-installed in my home (finally got around to utilizing it after many years!). Didn't receive any documentation or much information from the seller, so flying quite blind here.

There are speakers installed in about 6 different rooms - a quick google search indicates that they are likely Polk speakers:

They seem to be controlled by these volume control dials:

There are a bunch of wires coming out of two holes underneath the mounted TV.

From the first hole:

These appear to be some sort of uncapped copper wires (a couple indicate locations, but most aren't really labeled) - my presumption is that these would these connect to the speakers for each of the rooms/zones and we be connected to a A/V receiver. Is that correct? If so, what would be an appropriate A/V receiver to purchase?

(The other hole has 10+ cables running through and are a couple of S-Video plugs, and multiple Audio L-Rs plugs and RCA component cables. This obviously seems intended for the TV, though its a bit confusing to me why there are so many of them).

The goal is just to be able to play through Spotify/or my phone on all the speakers in the house. We have a bunch of Amazon Echos and Sonos already so would like to sync with them if possible and take advantage of the prebuilt system. Although not against, I'd prefer not having to get a AV specialist to configure if all that needs to be done is to just buy the A/V receiver and connect those wires.

Thanks in advance, and apologies if there isn't much more information (I'm tech saavy but a novice on A/V speaker systems!).
