Here's the deal. I wanted to surprise my wife this coming anniversary with transferring our wedding video to a cdr thus making a homemade vcd. I got all the computer hardware needed and can actually burn it on to the cdr. However, I just found out (even though my DVD player says VCD on the front) that it won't play the disc. Are there any affordable DVD players that will play these. Help please.

I suggest taking the disc to the store with you and see which DVD players will play it.

Make sure you look for DVD players that can handle CD-R and CD-RW media as well as normal CD/DVD/VCD media.

Most of the Panasonic/JVC/Pioneer line can handle anything you throw in them.

Thanks for the responses. I decided to go with Pioneer DV440. I found a website that was authorized for Pioneer who sold it for $169 and free shipping. This one seemed to be able to do it all.
