Need help, Want to build a sub (1 Viewer)

Need alittle help. I am planning on building my first sub and need some opinions on which equipment and cabinet are good for my system and set-up. Here is my set-up:

Room size = 12'w x 21'l x 8'h
Receiver = Pioneer Elite VSX-24TX with THX select
Fronts and Rears = Klipsch KSB1.1 (will upgrade in near future)
Center = Klipsch KSC-C1 (will upgrade in near future)

System will be used for 50% music & 50% HT

I was looking at Partsexpress and talk to them about the:

Dayton 12" Titanic MK2
250w Amp (part# 300-794)
And they recommended a 3.8 cubic foot ported cabinet (aprox. 18.75 x 18.75 x 18.75)

I have no problem making a cabinet (I have access to a nice wood shop), but would like to find some nice plans to build.
Can you help?

I don't have any plans for you. But, that's the beauty of building a sub. You can build it in pretty much any shape or size. You just need to sit down and do the math to figure out your enclosure size and take into consideration any bracing, ports, driver displacement, and amp displacement. So, it can get a little hairy taking all into account... just check your math.
I'm sure someone here will offer up plans for a ported Titanic sub.
Might I interest you in a 3.6 sealed enclosure?
