Alright, so a few years back my stepmom bought me some speakers for my car but they were the wrong size so i just put them away because i didn't feel like returning them. is there a way i can use them to make a form of home theater or a simple "plug and play" stereo for a phone or PC using an aux cord????? my only experience with audio equipment is simply replacing my car speakers with new ones, but im a quick learner and would love for some feedback on how to do this sort of thing if its even possible.

You could put the drivers into boxes, but would require an amplifier still. What sort of speakers are they?

The problem that you're going to have is that you need both enclosure and an amplifier. The enclosures are the easy part. You can buy some knock-downs from parts-express.com or build your own. The amplifier will be harder because you'll need something like that like a lower ohm load. Most car speakers are 4 ohm vs the 8 ohm for home speakers. Assuming that you're not going to run a set in series you'll be showing each channel an approximate 4 ohm load. If you're looking for just something to plug your phone in a mini amp would just just fine. Most of them don't mind going to 4 ohms, however an AVR won't really like it for long term usage.
