So I pre-wired my sub with the typical 2-wire wires used for all my speakers. Then after drywall was in place I realized my subwoofer takes a regular 1 piece plug (not even sure the proper name for plug) pictured below, however that one is a video connection but it's the same type of connector. My receiver also shares the same connection. In case you're wondering it's a self powered subwoofer.

What are my options to fix this? I was thinking of just buying a compatible wire and cutting and splicing.

Digital coax, subwoofer cable, composite video, component video and sat/cable cable...

Is all the same thing. Has been for 35 years.

You could attempt to add RCA connectors(which RCA created that...in what, 1945?) to 1 wire each. But since speaker wire isn't shielded...
