I have a Kenwood HTB-505. Which audio connections need to be made where? I need to hook in a TV(for use of larger speakers) and a Gamecube(needs Pro Logic II decoding). There are caption under each audio connection what do these mean?

    Uhhhh...

The 505 system comes with a large, poster-sized drawing showing all the connections in color. Do you not have this?

The captions are not universal so the drawing should help.

Now you mention trying to hook in a TV for use of larger speakers???

The 505 should come with L/Center/R speakers. You normally DONT hook audio to your TV.

If you are trying to take the audio out of your TV and bring it into your receiver - thats a different story.

First, your TV has to have L/R audio jacks called "RCA" plugs. Locate these.

Look on the back of the receiver. There should be a whole mess of RCA jacks with writing beside them.

TURN OFF THE TV & RECEIVER.

Look for a set of jacks labeled something like "CD" for a CD player. Run RCA cables (available from Radio Shack) from the TV audio out to these "CD" jacks.

Turn on the TV, then the receiver. The front panel of the receiver allows you to select different SOURCES. Pick the "CD" source and then you should be able to hear the TV from the speakers.

    Does this help?
