Ok, I just bought the yamaha RX-V663BL receiver today. It didn't come with a remote or manual(found that online). I want to have my PS3 go into the receiver via HDMI and to my TV via HDMI. But nothing is being displayed on the TV and i am getting no sound. Everything is on and connections are in the right spot. I read the manual and i am completly lost. Can anyone help me with this???

P.S. If you want to explain to me via AIM then IM me at mikefinch91

Does your receiver have an "HDMI Monitor Out" setting? You'll have to switch this to either "yes" or "on" to get picture. Just to cover some basics, You have the PS3 connected to the receiver with an HDMI cable into one of the "HDMI IN" terminals on the back of the receiver and then a second HDMI cable going from the "HDMI OUT" terminal on the back of the receiver to the "HDMI IN" terminal on the back of the tv set, correct? You also need to make sure the "Video Input" setting on the tv set is on the right video setting. The same goes for the receiver, be sure you have selected the correct output setting to correspond with which jack you plugged the selected players HDMI cable into. You may also have to assign an HDMI input on the receiver. This has to be done in the receivers set-up menu. An example would be, setting the HDMI 1 to the "SAT/Cable" button and the HDMI 2 to the "DVD" button. Since you dont have a remote you will have to set all this from the front panel display on the receiver.

I have a PS3 and that yamaha receiver...did you change the PS3 to hdmi? Other than that I can't add any other suggestions to try.

Did you get the mic to plug into the receiver to autobalance your speakers? When you connect it to receiver a display screen appears on the TV. Good Luck

Everything is in the right spot. I just dont know how to get to the menu thru the front panel. All i have is the receiver nothing else. Also is there an adapter for the subwoofer. The one i have has a positve and negative wire and the receiver doesn't those connections. Do i need to get a new sub?
