Hi all, I need help connecting my Bose Acoustimass 9 Subwoofer to my 42 inch ultra slim RCA TV. I have the required DIN connector (S-Composite 8 pin red white black RCA connector)

I meant the adapter. The Bose manual isn’t going to tell you how to use their stuff with another manufacturer’s products.

Well, the DIN has to go to the Bose. If the TV has the RCAs for its audio output, you can use the RCAs from on the adapter. If the TV has a headphone jack, then use the adapter’s headphone plug instead. The RCA outputs, if the TV has them, may need to be activated via the TV"s menu (line output).

Those are the only options – either it will work or it won’t.

I've looked at the manual for your set. I do not think you can do whatever you are trying to do by connecting the sub to the TV.

From looking at tge manual, your TV set does not have line out RCA jacks which would be required ti send a signal to the sub.

The RCA jacks in your set ar line in, so they expect to see an input from a connected device such as a disc player.

If the adapter, has a 3.5 mm mini plug, you could try plugging into the headphone jack; however, I believe what will happen is the sound from your tv speakers will be cut off, since the TV is expecting a pair of headphones at that output.
