Need help please pioneer box-921 (1 Viewer)

Bought used 2011 pioneer box-921 receiver tdy and hooked up DVD through it on HDMI and all my speakers and I get the movie on the but no sounds at all. Anyone know much on this and what I’m missing?

Just to clarify. The disc player is connected to the receiver, then from it to the TV?

Hey guys I actually got it after hours of trying too figure out. I had to go into the receiver menu and turn on the HDMI use. Then had to change speaker’s settings.

Glad you figured it out. I was hoping it something simple like needing to assign or pair the correct Audio with the specific Video , but each receiver seems to have it's own setup protocols.

The last time I remember having a major issue with non sound, it turned out to be something ridiculously self-inflicted like I had pushed the TAPE OUT button on the front panel then not realized it for hours so the receiver was sending all the audio to the TAPE INPUT of my Cassette Deck which of course I didn't have at the time.
