Need help on how to stop the hiss.

    I figured out why i have so much his. Its my TV. Nothing hissis until my televisions is turned on. Im using a kenwood vr-06050 reciver and a hitachi ustravision TV. Is there any thing that i can do so that the TV wont make the speakers hiss?

    Ryan,

    When you say,"until the tv is turned on", do you mean when you switch to that input or do you mean when the tv is turned on it causes hiss even when listening to some other source. ie..cd, tuner..anything non-video. The hiss is probably caused by processing. Try turning off pro-logic on your receiver and/or any 'surround sound' processing your tv might have (if your using the tv to get a signal to the receiver).
