    Hi All!

My viewing room has two seating locations - a sofa in the "sweet spot", and a sectional sofa in the rear corner of the room, up against the wall. When sitting in this rear location, the surrounds are simply too loud. I'd like a remote controlled (X10?) switch to dial the sound down when sitting in this area, as my receiver does not have a fast/easy way to do this (involves using a number of steps on the remote...takes forever).

Is there a control that will allow volume control of both rear speakers in-line? I'd like to run speaker wire to the control from each speaker output, then run another length of wire to the actual speakers.

Am I completely missing an easier way to do this? All opinions are welcome! Thanks!

    Todd

i've seen several in-wall volume controls from companies like niles or radio-shack:

but i've never really seen any "free-standing" ones.
i guess you could take one of those and hook it up to a junction box??? [IMG]
