Need help from Panasonic DMR-E85 owners (1 Viewer)

I got a Panasonic DMR-E85 for Christmas. It is my first experience with a DVD recorder. I haven't had much of a chance to play with it since X-mas due to traveling to visit family. I did get a chance to hook it up, download the TV Guide, and do some test recording to the hard drive. The problem that I was having is after I record a show (manually set up to record/not from TV Guide) to the hard drive I am not getting any audio when I go to view the program. The audio on the recorder is set to Main/Stereo.

Does anyone have any idea what I may be doing wrong or if their may be something wrong with my machine? When viewing TV shows thruogh the DVD player the audio is fine. I just don't get any audio when playing a recorded show.

I found the problem.

When I got home from my holiday travel yesterday I started playing around with the unit. What I found was that the factory default audio settings were the problem. They had the Dolby Digital going with Bitstream and DTS with PCM. After flip flopping these my audio was OK when playing back a recorded program on the hard drive as well as DVDs.
