I have a HK AVR 120 (45 watts x 5)receiver, 2 Polk RT25i's (fronts, a Polk CSi 30 (center) and two Polk fx 300i's for my surrounds. As you can tell by the system I have I am on a rather tight budget. I am looking to by either a Velodyne CHT-10 or a Polk PSW404. Or, since I have a rather low powered receiver would it be ok to get an 8" of either model? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, your receiver doesn't power the sub, so it doesn't matter what size sub you buy, the sub has its own amplification.

As for the choice between the velodyne or the polk, I would go for the velodyne (slightly bigger and heavier), although they're pretty well matched specs-wise.
